About StudentOrgs.umich.edu
StudentOrgs.umich.edu is the central home for student organizations at the University of Michigan. With over 1,000 student organizations and thousands of University offices and programs, student leaders need to have a lot of information at their fingertips. StudentOrgs.umich.edu is created and maintained by the Office of Student Activities and Leadership (SAL) to make the necessary information accessible and easy to understand.
As any student who has worked in a student organization knows, the University is complex and decentralized. SAL, and its partners in the Division of Student Affairs and around campus work to make the policies and procedures of campus streamlined, or at the very least, transparent for student organizations.
StudentOrgs.umich.edu is organized in a way that mirrors the lifecycle of a student organization. First there is the Recognition Process, then learning about SOAS, formal organization of the group, tips for meetings and programs, and the policies that govern life at the University.
StudentOrgs.umich.edu is intended to be a quick "first stop" for any questions you may have. If you cannot find the information you need, please contact SAL (SALead@umich.edu). We want to help you achieve your goals for your organization. Don't let a question get in the way.
Please take a look at what StudentOrgs.umich.edu can offer you and your organizations. If we are missing any information, please let us know (SALead@umich.edu).
